Ao longo do ano 2001, o suplemento Mil folhas do jornal Público apresentou, todas as semanas, nas suas páginas centrais, projectos de artistas plásticos realizados propositadamente para esta exposição, que terá lugar na Biblioteca do MAC de Serralves. Intitulada arte-Público, a iniciativa inclui também a colaboração com algumas das mais importantes exposições do ano, nomeadamente "Squatters", "First Story. Edifício Feminino/Novas narrativas para o século XXI" - ambas integradas na programação oficial do Porto 2001.

Every week throughout 2001, the Mil Folhas supplement of the Público newspaper has presented in its centre pages projects created especially for this exhibition, due to be held in the library of the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art. Entitled arte-Público, the event also includes collaborations with some of the year's most important exhibitions, namely "Squatters", "First Story. Women Building New Narratives for the twenty-first century" - both of which were part of the official programme for Porto 2001, European Cultural Capital.
