The creation of an Art Department plays with the ambiguous designation of MOMS in order to find a critique of art itself in everything social. The commission of a project for a bunker given to the architect Duarte Lema, conceived for a piece of land reclaimed from a urban place a museum without works, without a programme and without any other aim but to institute itself as a strong allegory of the situation of art is positioned strategically in these presuppositions about MOMS.

Here we present for the first time the final plans for the building that is one of the central axis of this project..

The final project will be presented at the CAPC (Coimbra) in November 1999. Until then, the MOMS pages will present regular updates with information about the work in course.

At this moment a project's preview is being presented in Oporto (until the 12th June), integrated on the exhibition - Quartel: Arte, Trabalho, Revolução.
